Hi lovlies! Brendon held a small party at his place yesterday as a starting uni celebration kind of thing and wow, I still cannot get over how amazing his house is. If you Google street view his address, the house that shows up is this tiny green one story house sooooo you can probably imagine my surprise when we rocked up to find this massive new white two story house. I forgot to take photos of the first floor but here are two photos of the top floor for you to be amazed. His parents installed speakers in the ceiling so Adrii and I had the best night just listening to Big Spender by Gentleman's Vibe on repeat. *scoops jaw off of floor*
We spent the night playing games of Uno, taking walks out to a park with no street lights and laughing at literally every little thing that happened. The only other notable thing that happened was that we all died of happiness because Dominos agreed to deliver us pizza at two in the morning. I couldn't stop laughing because after they told us that they'd be ready in 50 minutes, Aileen sat there for a solid three minutes trying to negotiate free drinks and garlic bread. Anyway, here are a bunch of photos for your viewing pleasure!
It's been a while since I last did a review on something so here we go! If you're a friend who knows me well, you will know that I've been addicted to bubble dyes ever since I got my first box. I refuse to use creams anymore simply because they are too difficult to apply on your own! Prettia/Liese is one of my favourite bubble dyes because no matter how long or thick my hair grows, there is always more than enough (and it actually works, of course). Below is a video of how the dye works.
After looking at my last review of a Liese bubble dye, I realised that it could've been a lot better so hopefully this is more helpful. Let's start with the box and its content!
I had no idea how to take an accurate photo of the colour but this was as close as I could get.
Conditioner treatment (I used all of it in one go), gloves and information on how to use the dye and allergy tests.
Colouring tools! You empty bottle 1 into bottle 2 and after mixing them, you put the spout on and squeeze the bottle to get the bubbles.
Now if anybody else reading has tried to do a review of hair dyes, you would know that it's difficult to get before and after images with the exact same lighting for a fair comparison. With that being said, the before and after photos were taken at different times of the day.
After five years of being terrible to my hair through numerous hours of heat and chemical treatments, it has finally come back to me where the ends of my hair are beginning to lighten themselves because they are so brittle and dry (I think that's what it is).
Regrowth after five-ish months of not dying my hair.
Now the after photos! Realistically, you couldn't see much of an actual colour difference. My hair did lighten slightly but I wouldn't say that it matched the color on the top of the box. The tinge of my hair did change as well to have a bit more red in it but you wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't know I dyed it.
This photo is probably the best representation of the colour. You can see how well the dye lightened my regrowth against what it did to my old hair!
As always, I'm very happy with the result of the bubble dye! I'd definitely recommend it if you're after something that's really easy to apply on your own that ensures an even coverage. It's also great if you like to do your own hair because you don't have to worry about any dripping. The only thing that continues to bother me is that the fumes are annoyingly strong but if you learn from my mistakes and dye your hair in a well ventilated area with all the windows and doors open, it shouldn't be much of a big problem. Hope you guys had a great start to your week! x, s.
All of the girls looked so gorgeous! Pink heels from Famous Footwear, clutch from Colette, fitted skirt from Ally, sequin top from Dotti.
Sorry I've been away for a little while. Hope you've all been well! Last night, I went with a group of friends to Jo-Jo's to celebrate Billy's birthday. I had such a lovely time seeing everybody again but nothing out of the ordinary happened so for the sake of posting, here are some photos from the event!
This drink tasted amazing! It was like a melted Lifesaver popsicle.
Jiwon got a fish eye lens for her iPhone camera!
*awkward crouch* Finally got to see my little Evee after so long!!
Will post again soon :) Hope you guys have a great Sunday.
Hello! Yesterday, Jason and I went to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Definitely recommended for people living in Brisbane who like animals and want something a little bit different to do. It's only 20-30 minutes away from the city (feels like nothing) and you just take a simple bus ride there. We spent the first 15 minutes in the sanctuary oogling over a gorgeous cockatoo. It said hello so I started playing around with it and then BAM out of no where it bit my finger so hard that I bled. Jason got a photo right before it happened:
I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS.
Nonetheless the cockatoos were my favourite things in the entire sanctuary. One of them kept asking Jason to scratch it and then it'd turn it's head or bob up and down. Another one said bye to us as we left nawww! Not really much else to say so here's a bunch of photos from the day courtesy of the lovely Jason.
Hi lovelies! Last night I went to have dinner at The Jetty Oxford with Adrii, Aileen, Brendon, Khang and Jason. I was so bothered because we were meant to get a table with the most gorgeous view of the river during sunset but they messed up the reservation and ended up seating two other people there instead. We ordered the chicken quesadilla w/ spiced avocado & sour cream; pizza w/ pancetta, pesto, kalamata olives & buffalo mozzarella; potato gnocchi w/ basil pesto, heirloom tomatoes & buffalo mozzarella and grilled eye fillet w/ potato fondant, wild mushrooms, double smoked bacon & veal glaze. I only got a photo of the pizza because the wait made us so hungry that I couldn't wait!
Forgot to say that I went to karaoke with Adrii and Khang before dinner
After dinner we went for a walk down Oxford Street to eat dessert at Mud Bar. From there, we ordered Death Row, Ferrero and Mud's chocolate Pate. Fantastic service as always!
Adrii the cross eyed queen
That's all for today's post so I'll leave it there for now. Hope all of you have had a great start to your week!
