How I scale my wallpapers on iOS7

Hello! As I'm sure all of you know, iOS7 was introduced recently and although I ended up liking it a lot more than I thought I would, there are still some things which I'm not exactly crazy about. One of which is the super annoying change where it doesn't let you scale your photos to fit wallpaper properly so bits and pieces end up cropped off the sides. I actually figured out this thing just before I went to sleep last night so I thought that I'd share my little trick with you! I've got no idea whether there's a more convenient way of doing it or not but this works for me so I'm not complaining :)

Step 1. Choose what you want as your wallpaper. This collage was done using the app I'm about to introduce to you guys, in case anybody was wondering!

Step 2. Head to your App Store and download the app pictured above.

Step 3. Open your app and tap on the blue icon which says 'Grid HD'.

Step 4. Select your wallpaper and tap on the green arrow to continue.

Step 5. Tap on the second icon from the left and select whichever ratio you prefer (it doesn't really matter, you can even stay on the square if you want). Then, resize your wallpaper so that there's a thick white border surrounding it.

Step 6. Save your image by tapping the green icon in the top right hand corner.

Step 7. Proceed to set your wallpaper as per usual and tada! Now you've got a bit more room to actually move and scale the wallpaper. Make sure you tilt your phone around as you do it so that you don't get any white bits showing.

All finished!

I hope this tutorial was useful and helps to make your customising life a little bit easier! Now all I want to be able to change is the annoying black gradient they put over all your photos. xo, s.

UQBA: A red carpet affair

Hello hello hello! I know that this sounds like another excuse for me to be lazy with my blog but my laptop has been taken away to be (hopefully) fixed. I was carrying milk tea in my bag and as I was walking down some stairs at uni, the plastic somehow split at the bottom and spilled into my laptop. I'm pretty sure it's just the display that's broken but the technician hasn't called back yet so I have no clue whether anything is recoverable asdhoiahsdoa. Until then, Jason was kind enough to lend me one so that I wouldn't die of boredom late at night but it's just a bit slower and not as blogger friendly sadly!

Anyway moving onto what we're actually all here for, here is my business ball blog post! I've been excited for this event since I bought my tickets and I was definitely not disappointed. The pre was stressful but then as soon as we were all together and at the venue nothing before that mattered. I pretty much had a chance to redo everything that I didn't like at my high school formal to recreate the perfect night for myself. I really hope I can convince my friends to go again next year :) OKAY, enough with the chit chat. Here's a stack of photos for you lovely people.

I know I said I was originally going to wear Sophia's gorgeous red Sheike dress but unfortunately I realised that I didn't have the bust to hold it up! Aileen ended up wearing that instead and I wore this equally amazing peplum gown (also from Sheike) that one of my old co-workers was kind enough to lend me.

This is what Adrii does at every semi-formal/formal event if she's not attending.

Girls from table 44!

Entree and main!

Ending the night with dessert!

I hope all of you have a fantastic weekend. I'm heading off to the Rocklea markets with Jason tomorrow for the first time ever so I'm hoping to run into some good food and a bunch of pretty flowers. Much love, s.

Photo & caption update XXV

Chanel lipstick for Caroline's 18th.

Hi lovelies! I thought that I should start with the Topshop casting call I mentioned in my last post. The response was so overwhelming and I swear, I'd never seen so many tall, skinny, and good looking girls in one spot before. David and I arrived early to the gorgeous location before anybody from our time got there and did our interviews accordingly. I have no idea how I screwed up so badly but basically, the moment I stepped behind the curtain my nerves got the better of me and I pretty much forgot how to speak HAHA. Obviously I got rejected but nonetheless I've still got a good job with me so I wasn't too upset anyway.

Casting call location!

Brisbane Arcade.

Spring is here and so are my new sunglasses! They're from Urban Outfitters.

With Phong before Jun's party.

Phong putting weeds into Jun's mail box for making us wait an hour.

Incredibly bland brownies (don't judge a book by it's cover).

Love my maccas and a disappointing breakfast at Wordies with Alice.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!! Will post again soon hopefully :) x, s.
