Shades of blue

A belated Merry Christmas to all of you lovely people :)

Working on Boxing Day was the biggest pain in the back.
  • The store went from perfect to pigsty in the first three hours
  • If you wanted to get around the store efficiently (impossible at times), you had to turn into a snake so you could weave around all the racks of clothes and crowds of people
  • Customers refused to listen to any of my coworkers when they were trying to help them
  • The pile of clothes to rehang was higher than my hips 60% of the time during my shift
I finally got a day off today so I got to indulge in some retail therapy. I bought new (non-mandatory) clothing for work for the first time in three months and almost died of happiness when I found out that I didn't have to wear the Christmas tank tops or asymmetrical skirts anymore. It's now onto Australia Day tops and denim shorts!

Poppy button front singlet and trinidad loose fit blazer.

High waisted dark denim ripped shorts

I don't really have much to say so I'll just leave you with some purchased I made from DFO airport today along with other things I've bought/received recently. Have a great week ♥

$20 paper bag shorts from Forever New. Originally $70.

I couldn't really figure out how to take a photo of this but it's a button up collared top from Cotton On that was $10. It looks like a mimic octopus when I spread it out.

Typo flip clock and Colette wallet both gifted from Jason for Christmas.

$10 Bella boots purchased from CottonOn Online.

$5 geometric shape earrings and $9 chain drop earrings both from Colette.

xo.

Roses

Dress (gift from Sandra and Alice) from Ally, blazer from Supre.

I held a Christmas dinner with a bunch of my friends since I won't be seeing a majority of them during the holiday. We went to Peony Asian Fusion and as always, the service and food were perfect.

On the left is a bottle of Daisy that we (Ly, Jason and I) gifted to Melisa and on the right is a 100ml bottle of Rose (Summer Edition) by Paul Smith that Ly gave to me. It smells AMAZING.

Melisa's chicken pad thai and river sunset mocktail.

My Japanese curry chicken-katsu with rice.

Hope everyone's having a lovely week! Only 10 more days until new years eve.

Staff dinner

Black bow crop from Ice, pink pleated chiffon maxi skirt from Temt.

I had dinner at Vapiano with my Supre coworkers for Christmas! It's kind of late so I'll just leave all of you with photos from the night. Hope all of you are well ♥

Carbonara that I couldn't even finish half of.

Mocktails with Liane and Christa.

My lovely Kelly and the gifts she gave me.

Liese/Prettia Bubble hair dye: milk tea brown

I bought a box of bubble hair dye from Liese/Prettia off of eBay a while ago and it finally arrived today! The whole concept of dying your hair with foam hooked me instantly since it was so different and I gotta say, it worked amazingly well. I chose the colour 'milk tea brown'.

The box shape is a bit weird from being crushed in the mail. I'm really happy with the final result. It's kind of annoying because even though it's a lot different to what I had before, you can't see the difference in any photos ugh. Here's a photo of what was inside the box and a video of how everything works together:

Pros:
• The foam application was so neat and easy to apply compared to the normal cream dyes
• There was no dripping
• The applicator bottle is easier to squeeze than other dyes I've tried
• The gloves supplied in the box are actually fitted
• There's a significant change in hair colour
• There was more than enough foam to cover my hair

Cons:
• The fumes from the dye were so strong I almost cried.
• All of the instructions were in Japanese so I had to watch the video a couple of times to make sure that I was doing everything correctly.

It's not worth me uploading any photos of after I washed everything out since it's not noticeable in photos so I'll leave the post here and with everybody a good night ♥ Oh, and here's another video from Juicy!

UPDATE: Here are some before and after photos from when I dyed my hair! The colour showed up so much better a couple of days later.

The finished result was a really nice medium orange-brown that I was incredibly happy with! Definitely recommend this for anybody who wants a dramatic change in hair colour :)

9 days

I know I said that srhtrng would be updated more regularly but minutes turned into hours and hours turned into days. My life's pretty much been a repeat of either work, sleep, eat or sleep, eat, Pretty Little Liars.

1. Melisa bought me some photo frames for Christmas that were black and I decided to paint over them in white. It took two days and five layers for each frame but now they're just on my floor because I realised that I have no clue how to hang them up on my wall.

2. I actually had some time to enjoy to myself out of the house today. I went to see Mission Impossible 4 with a bunch of my friends before having lunch at Bamboo Basket. The food was really nice but the one bill per table thing is so annoying, bah. Adrii somehow managed to flick a piece of sweet and sour chicken into my hair. She's amazing.

3. The chandelier above our table was really nice.

4. Getting ready for Christmas! It's still a while away but I'm excited nonetheless. I was forced to get this ridiculous singlet for work and had the choices of prints that either said 'Santa loves me best' or 'You're on my naughty list'. Oh, Supre. With the annual Christmas layout I usually do, I'll try my best to get one up soon. I'm just worried that it won't turn out very well since I'm just above clueless when it comes to editing on the design option on Blogger.

Hope all of you are well and have a great weekend ♥ Ps/ here's a new video from Juicy and her little sister. You know what to do!

Aileen

Just a splash of photos that I took with Aileen before we had Dinner with a bunch of people today. We bumped into Linda on the way to Peony's so that explains why she's in a few of the photos. I'll try to blog properly soon, sorry! ♥ Hope everybody's well and having a lovely weekend.
